My name is Sadaf Ahmad, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Science degree in Population Health Informatics at the CUNY School of Public Health. I have a bachelor’s degree in Clinical laboratory science from CUNY York College. I’m a licensed laboratory technologist working in the Immunology department. The population health informatics courses are very insightful as they emphasize the importance of health literacy and how data can be converted into useful and targeted information for the consumers. This club is an initiative to invite more people into the realm of informatics where providing quality and relevant data for the users is of utmost importance. A fun fact about me is that I get lightheaded seeing blood being drawn but can work with blood in a test tube in the lab.
